The Company . In 2001, the founder of XpCities, Inc, Mahesh Thakrar, impressed by the capabilities of Austin Meyer's X-plane flight simulator, began developing scenery packages to explore the possibilities and enhance his own experiences using the simulator. The Chicago scenery, with it's surrounding suburban landscape, was first developed for X-plane version 5 and was offered as freeware. Soon after, the founder, along with many other users, became more interested in further exploring X-plane's potential. It wasn't long before the Chicago scenery gained in widespread popularity and appeal, enjoying well over 5,000 downloads. . In 2005, the founder decided to officially form XpCities to develop other popular cityscapes. This is just the beginning, so please stay tuned as the company focuses on more offerings in future that will further enhance the flight simming experience. . XpCities genuinely values each of its customers and hopes to capture and sustain their loyalty as the company looks to the future. We therefore welcome customer comments and suggestions as feedback that will help in improving our products and enhance the overall experience for all customers. . Acknowledgements .
