Welcome to XpCities . XpCities develops urban scenery packages for the X-plane version 8 Flight Simulator. The packages are designed to enhance the flight simulation experience by providing a sense of realism and clear recognition of the specific urban location. . Each scenery package focuses on a particular city and its surrounding areas to provide a realistic depiction of each distinct urban cityscape. Each package is comprised of custom buildings unique to that city which effectively blend with standard urban buildings, and come complete with road networks and streetlights. Considerable care and effort has been made to portray the cities with reasonable accuracy and realism and optimized for flight simulation performance. The packages take advantage of the strength and flexibility of the X-plane program engine, which gives the user the flexibility to choose and adjust the scenery density and complexity that the user prefers and/or the operating hardware can manage. . The terrain utilized is the X-plane default terrain. Use of aerial/satellite pictures has been avoided to maintain the performance level and to keep package costs low, but may be considered in future, where deemed appropriate. . X-plane is a product of Laminar Research, Inc. The XpCities scenery packages are add-ons to the X-plane product and its default scenery. They are not part of, nor included with Laminar Research, Inc.'s X-plane program. |
