Use

Although a fair amount of research and care has been taken to portray the scenery city-scapes fairly accurately and realistically, they are meant strictly for personal non-commercial entertainment purposes only and shall not be used for any other purpose including malicious intent.
.
Operation and Performance

Product should be used on a computer capable of running X-plane version 8.30 & 8.40 with the newer default global scenery installed.
.
The scenery packages were developed and tested on a Pentium 4, 2.6 Ghz machine with 512 MB RAM, a Nvidia GeForce 440MX AGP 4x 64 MB video card with X-plane version 8.30 & 8.40. They have NOT been tested on Linux, Apple or any other hardware. Therefore, no guarantees can be given on performance or compatibility with any particular hardware, operating system or future updates or versions of X-plane. Screenshots and video clips shown have been taken with various versions of the X-plane program and may be slightly different than the final porduct.
.
The performance of the packages is similar to the default scenery with X-plane version 8.30 & 8.40 on hardware listed above. XpCities believes in understating performance rather than overstating it.
.
Please note that the scenery packages are compatible with X-plane version 8.30 & 8.40 and will NOT work with X-plane version 7 or earlier versions of X-plane version 8. The file system used is an overlay dsf, which is not compatible with prior versions of X-plane.
.
Installation

The scenery packages are designed with the simplest installation procedures possible and is standard with the X-plane file structure.  A little knowledge of the X-plane product structure is all that is required.
.
  • Unzip and drag the unzipped scenery package folder (including all its subfolders) to under the "Custom Scenery" folder within the X-plane program folder.
.
  • To avoid interference or possible conflicts with other scenery packages having the same scenery (DSF) files under the custom scenery folder, ensure that the preferred package name alphabetically precedes any other package.
